Connections between Waking and Dreaming Life

Two days after I had the dream about my dogs running away, the dogs go out of the backyard. My roommate forgot to prop the gate closed so it wouldn't blow open and the dogs go out. If you are a pet owner, you know how scared you get when you're pets are loose. When I was calling the dogs to come inside from the backyard, Sam heard Gunther barking outside but from the front of the house and ran outside to get him. He saw Bubbles running across the street to the neighbor and Gunther in the middle of the street running. This totally freaked me out, I get so shaken up when they run out into the street. My first dog as a child, Sara, ran out into the street and got hit by a car and died. So needless to say, I always freak out when this happens. The dogs both came back to Sam as soon as he called them and I rounded them up into the backyard. I felt like I had a mini heart attack. But what a crazy connection between my dream a couple nights before. This isn't the first time I've had a dream really happen in real life, and I hope it's not the last. I always feel that if I can remember a dream so vividly, or even just one part of it, that I should really pay attention to what my dream was telling me. I try to keep a look out for signs in real life that pertain to my dreams as well. I seem to find a lot of these connections throughout my waking and dreaming life.
