Two days after I had the dream about my dogs running away, the dogs go out of the backyard. My roommate forgot to prop the gate closed so it wouldn't blow open and the dogs go out. If you are a pet owner, you know how scared you get when you're pets are loose. When I was calling the dogs to come inside from the backyard, Sam heard Gunther barking outside but from the front of the house and ran outside to get him. He saw Bubbles running across the street to the neighbor and Gunther in the middle of the street running. This totally freaked me out, I get so shaken up when they run out into the street. My first dog as a child, Sara, ran out into the street and got hit by a car and died. So needless to say, I always freak out when this happens. The dogs both came back to Sam as soon as he called them and I rounded them up into the backyard. I felt like I had a mini heart attack. But what a crazy connection between my dream a couple nights before. This isn't the first time I've had a dream really happen in real life, and I hope it's not the last. I always feel that if I can remember a dream so vividly, or even just one part of it, that I should really pay attention to what my dream was telling me. I try to keep a look out for signs in real life that pertain to my dreams as well. I seem to find a lot of these connections throughout my waking and dreaming life.
who ever said that the little things don't matter in life? it's the little things that count, and add up to this whole bigger picture of life. struggling to write and find the meaning to it all.

Detoxin'
Yesterday I started a detox. And today, man, do I feel GREAT!! I have so much more energy and just feel healthier. The whole reason why I started this detox was because I was eating so much unhealthy foods and sweets the last couple of months (holiday weight). I really felt disgusting about what I was putting into my body and felt that I need a cleanse. Sometimes I can just read the signs my body is giving me and I know its time to change my diet. I did a raw detox last year and it was awesome. My skin looked amazing! However, it was much harder for me to stay on the raw detox. So this time I researched a bunch of different detoxes and pretty much put them all together and customized one that I know for sure would work for me. And I feel like I'll be able to sustain this detox longer than the raw detox.
I'm just going to outline the basis of my detox and below will be a few websites for resources.

Thanksgiving
The Eye,
still thinking about you.
Go figure it's cold tonight,
feeling you in the air -
the evening frost.
Trying to remember
your Mayan scripture tattoos
on your forearm;
I understand it now,
understand it all.
See you in the stars, Eye.
I would love some criticism on this one. This poem and person really means a lot to me.

Dream Space
I'm trying to recall my dream from last night. We (not sure who else was there, saw no face but felt like it was Sam or Steve) were in a house and someone came home that threatened our safety. So I killed them with a plastic knife or fork (this might have something to do with watching "Hot Tub Time Machine" before bed). I remember wiping down anything I touched to remove my fingerprints from the scene. It was happened in the kitchen. For some reason my dogs were there too. Both Bubbles and Gunther weren't wearing their collars. They got out of the house and we couldn't find them. I was walking around the neighborhood asking if anyone saw them. I stood in the middle of the street calling Gunther and Bubbles' name and sure enough little Gunther comes running down the street to me and Bubbles follows shortly after. I picked up Gunther and gave him such a squeeze; I cried hard when they came back. The crying was so emotionally intense I felt as if I really was crying in my sleep, my physical self that is. This is when I woke up; not crying.
The only time I woke up crying because of a dream was when I dreamed of my grandfather. I can't really remember what the dream was all about but I do recall how real it was and how very much alive he was in it. He even spoke to me, gave me some sort of advice pertaining to the dream but I'm sure it had a deeper meaning to what was going on in my life at the time. I cried because he was so real and lively but woke up and he was still gone.
So enough about my dreams, here is my daily attempt at writing. I did not put much time or effort into this and should spend more time on this soon. But here goes.
"Not Enough"
I put too much lemon in tea,
not enough honey.
I put too much soy milk in cereal,
not enough space.
Watching the hibiscus flowers reopen in the simmering water -
the fuchsia liquid makes me feel like an ancient native
preparing to dye sacramental cloths.
It temporarily dyes my white sink pink.

Hope I blog better than I jog
So this is my first post and blog, but of course just like any other writer, I'm intimated by the first page. Let's call it, First Page Syndrome. And here it is, where I'm not quite sure what to write and I don't want to start out with any cliches or misgivings. Of course, I am just over thinking this whole new blogging adventure of mine, hope I blog better than I jog (which I'm no good at).
This might seem like a surprise to many people, but I have a BFA in Poetry and the last 3-4 years I've been stuck on this "writers' block" and I hate to even call it that because it is so cliche and probably a stretch from the truth. The truth, I have not consciously made the time to write, the only thing I have managed to do the last 3 years was keep a fairly consistent journal and read. But for me, that's not enough, I need to write poetry and even work on a novel or novella. The excuses and laziness has just been a mere obstacle until now. I've been dedicating myself to my writing more than I ever had since college. I still feel rusty and unsure of my writing ability and voice but there's no way to get past that unless I keep moving forward with my writing. Any writing is better than no writing, even bad writing. Did I mention writing?
Enough talk about writing. The last week or so I've been reading Erich von Daniken's "Twilight of the Gods" and man has that really opened up my mind to a whole new way of thinking. If you're not familiar with Erich von Daniken, then I highly suggest Google him and checking out the show on the History Channel, Ancient Aliens. I am by no means an alien fanatic (for the lack of a better term) but I do believe in an ancient culture that is older than the Maya and predates the dinosaurs. There is so much scientific proof to back this up and tons of books on these topics that will fascinate and really change your thinking patterns. It never hurts to expand your mind a bit, even if it's something that you think is "out there".
Since I've been reading "Twilight of the Gods" I've been jotting stuff from the book down in my journal and even been inspired to write some poetry from pieces of the book. Yesterday while reading I found out that Diego de Landa ordered all Mayan idols and writings to be destroyed, burned in front of the Church of San Miguel of Mani (Mani means "its over"). It was here that 5,000 icons, 13 altars, 192 ritual vessels, 27 scientific & religious work and other illustrated manuscripts were burned. However, it was Diego de Landa who also decoded the Mayan Calendar and numerical system. So even though he destroyed valuable and scientific documents of the Mayan culture, it was Diego to discover the December 23, 2012 prophet.
The thing that I really took notice of was Jaina Thinking. According to Jaina Thinking, the entire universe is filled with evenly distributed life around the cosmos. Also, that only certain planets can sustain beings with voluntary movements (such as humans) and that primitive life and plants can be found on all planets. Pretty interesting huh? Daniken has about 25 books published and most of them cover ancient alien life. His next book on my list to read is "History is Wrong".
"Twilight of the Gods"
Where the observers dwell,
there lies a gigantic structure;
cyclops walls & granite pipes.
Particles of dusk create
amongst the ancient pathways.
